Job Details

Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
2. Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
3. Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
4. Ensuring all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
5. Managing month-end and year-end closing.
6. Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
7. Organizing financial data into usable information and maintain updated records.
8. Analyzing financial data to support decision-making processes and cost efficiency.
9. Contributing to the development of company financial strategies and plans.
10. Ensuring the company’s financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager position will possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be considered a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
3. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
4. Advanced competency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
5. An ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
6. Proven experience as a financial analyst.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to direct and supervise.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
10. Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
