Our dynamic car dealership is seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to lead our accounting team and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management, with a strong understanding of the legalities surrounding the car dealership industry.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the monthly end process and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Train, mentor, and manage accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Review tax reports and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare long-term financial forecasts to assist in strategic planning and decision making.
  • Manage and review expense reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to budget.
  • Coordinate and lead audit activities, working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Establish and monitor financial goals for the team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Process and analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Perform commission calculations and ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Proficient in using Reynolds and Reynolds software for dealership management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the car dealership industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month-end processes, tax reporting, and auditing.
  • Proven experience in training and managing a team.
  • Excellent data processing skills and proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Reynolds and Reynolds.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to prepare long-term financial forecasts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and monitor team goals.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in expense reporting and commission calculations.
