We’re seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our dealership. In this role, you will manage the processing and production of financial data across all departments, ensuring an accurate reflection of the organization’s financial position. You will deliver timely, precise reports to the Controller and General Manager while leading the day-to-day operations of the accounting office and supporting administrative functions.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Coordinating and executing month-end and year-end close procedures, including reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
3. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and trust account statement reconciliations.
4. Ensuring timely and accurate month-end calculations.
5. Supervising, mentoring, and training accounting staff. This includes hiring, training, and evaluating employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
6. Preparing and presenting financial statements in accordance with standard accounting principles.
7. Analyzing and submitting detailed expense reports.
8. Implementing and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
9. Utilizing accounting IT system (Reynolds and Reynolds and CDK Software) to facilitate processes and maintain records.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Reynolds and Reynolds and CDK Software.
4. Proven experience in managing accounts receivable, cost accounting, and month-end/year-end close process.
5. Strong supervisory skills with a track record of hiring and training staff.
6. Solid understanding of financial statements, expense reports, and cost accounting.
7. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
