The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting within a construction environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls. This role manages the accounting process, supports project accounting functions, and partners closely with project managers and leadership to drive financial accuracy and efficiency across multiple projects.Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll coordination, job cost accounting, and general ledgerManage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesReview and ensure accuracy of job cost reports, WIP schedules, percent-complete reporting, and project margin analysisEnsure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and construction-specific accounting standardsCoordinate with Project Managers to track costs, budgets, change orders, and billingsOversee billing processes including AIA billing, progress billings, retainage, and lien waiversPrepare and review financial statements and management reports • Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and lender reportingMaintain and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controlsPartner with the executive leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industryStrong knowledge of construction accounting (POC ), including job costing, WIP, and revenue recognitionExperience with construction or ERP systems such as Sage, Procore, CMiC, Jonas, or similar • Advanced Excel skills and QuickBooksStrong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilitiesAbility to work cross-functionally with project teams and leadership#J-18808-Ljbffr
