Accounting Manager | Abington MA | Manufacturing
Our team is working with a leading electro-mechanical device manufacturer looking to hire an Accounting Manager for their growing team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating the work of the accounting team in all aspects of accounting, including, but not limited to, payroll accounting, general ledger, cost, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, commissions, and related record keeping and reporting requirements for two legal entities.

Responsibilities:
Preparation, accuracy, and timely distribution of accounting-related reports, including weekly, monthly, and annual financials and various detailed analyses.
Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine the present and forecasted financial health of the company
Present potential scenarios and outcomes to management.
Develop and distribute various financial reports supporting other business functions.
Department staff: hiring, performance management, near-term development needs, long-term staffing plan, ensuring compliance with company policies & procedures.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with appropriate company, GAAP, regulatory, legal, and contractual requirements.
Assure the accuracy of payroll accounting and that the books tie to reports issued by payroll service.
Prepare and support annual financial reviews/audits, various other targeted audits as necessary, bid & applied rates, annual company valuation, and mandated outside financial reporting.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure appropriate validation methods and redundant process backup are in place for every critical operation.
Manage and comply with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Review financial documents to verify accuracy and compliance with regulations and acceptable financial principles.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Accounting or related field
10+ years of experience in the financial field
5+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role with supervisory responsibility
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Payroll software, and ERP systems.
