Client of Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to oversee accounting operations, payroll, financial reporting, and HR administration. The ideal candidate must have strong accounting and payroll experience, knowledge of GAAP principles, and hands-on P21 (Prophet 21) experience is required.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting company operations, and managing employee benefits and HR functions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • P21 (Prophet 21) experience required
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Payroll and benefits administration experience preferred

Accounting & Financial Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash flow and cash management functions
  • Prepare daily deposit reports for the A/R department
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate year-end financials with CPA
  • Prepare commission reports for management and payroll
  • Process semi-monthly payroll, including collection of timesheets and related data
  • Print payroll registers and prepare reports for 401(k) uploads
  • Maintain petty cash records
  • Handle asset disposition reporting
  • Maintain accounting records and reconciliations
  • Communicate effectively with department supervisors and assist with company operations as needed

Human Resources & Benefits Responsibilities:

  • Maintain employee files including new hires and terminations
  • Respond to employment verification requests
  • Manage unemployment claims and TWC inquiries
  • Review and analyze benefit proposals and provide recommendations to management
  • Coordinate employee benefit presentations
  • Process background checks and E-Verify documentation
  • Administer 401(k) reporting and uploads through Sentry
  • Administer employee benefits programs
  • Track vacation and sick time
  • Manage officer life insurance policies and officer notes
  • Administer health insurance benefits
