Director of Finance

About the Role

Turn 14 Distribution is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our leadership team in Horsham, PA. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role will oversee all operational accounting functions, including general ledger activities, financial reporting, audits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and financial planning.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to drive business performance. The Director of Finance will play a critical role in safeguarding company assets, enhancing financial processes, supporting acquisition activity, and developing a high-performing accounting organization.

What Youll Do

Financial Leadership & Reporting

  • Lead all accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, tax, revenue recognition, general ledger, and audits.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and applicable financial reporting requirements.
  • Manage the preparation and issuance of GAAP-compliant financial statements.
  • Lead financial consolidations, eliminations, reconciliations, and analyses.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Strategic Finance & Planning

  • Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Manage monthly budget reporting and performance analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Support acquisition activities, integrations, and future growth initiatives.
  • Manage CAPEX planning, reporting, acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
  • Oversee banking relationships, loan renewals, covenant reporting, and interest rate management.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, train, coach, and develop accounting and finance team members.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, growth, and engagement.
  • Recognize and reward employee achievements and contributions.
  • Lead by personal and professional example while embodying Turn 14 Distributions Core Values.

️ Compliance & Governance

  • Oversee tax preparation, compliance, and related activities.
  • Support legal matters alongside the VP of Finance.
  • Maintain legal entity compliance, creation, and dissolution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and company policies.

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

10-12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements

Experience managing accounting operations across multiple legal entities

Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and accounting systems

Exceptional communication and leadership abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

CPA, CMA, or CIA certification strongly preferred

Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or multi-entity organizations

Experience developing and leading high-performing accounting teams
