We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Consultant to support financial operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with accounting and finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, assist with month-end close activities, and provide recommendations to improve accounting processes and controls.
The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and business environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances or discrepancies.
Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities.
Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
Review and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll functions as needed.
Perform account analysis and provide financial insights to management.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with ERP implementations, system conversions, and process improvement projects.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and operational issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
CPA designation preferred.
3+ years of accounting, audit, or financial reporting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with MS Dynamics highly preferred
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
This is an immediate need on an interim basis so applicants should be available immediately.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $65.00 per hour
