Job Details

We are currently on the hunt for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Accounting Clerk to join our fast-paced team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in accounting, as you will be playing a critical role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage accounts receivable by ensuring timely and accurate billing, posting of receipts, and collections.
2. Handle sales orders, monitor and track sales transactions, and ensure all sales invoices are correctly issued and recorded.
3. Perform cash applications by applying cash receipts to the correct customer accounts and invoices.
4. Conduct cash reconciliation tasks such as verifying cash receipts, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and preparing daily cash reports.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
6. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
7. Collaborate with the sales team to improve financial procedures and ensure a smooth sales process.
8. Maintain an orderly financial filing system for our records.
9. Assist with other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

1. An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
2. A minimum of 2 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the Sales industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, sales orders, cash applications, and cash reconciliation.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
5. Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
