Job Title: Accounting Clerk (AP/AR) Location: Clackamas, OR Salary Range: $27-$33.65 per hour DOE Employment Type: Temp to Hire (3-6 months contract then permanent), Fully Onsite, Full Time Our client is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk for their office in Clackamas, OR. The ideal candidate should have excellent accounting and communication skills, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and experience in billing coordination. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and maintain contact with clients to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues.
  • Review billing statements and accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms when necessary.
  • Generate collection reports and provide regular updates on accounts receivable status.
  • Processing and reviewing invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of invoices.
  • Reconciling vendor statements and maintaining vendor files.
  • Provide assistance with vendor inquiries, prepare and process weekly check runs, and provide support to other accounting functions as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, assisting with month-end close, and accruals.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with AR/AP and/or just AP required.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to billing and AP is a plus.
