In this position, as an Accounting Clerk, you will assist the Accounting Department with general accounting responsibilities, coordinating distributions to customers, data/journal entries and financial reporting, month-end closing, ad-hoc tasks and special projects, back-up support for accounts payable and customer billing. The main function of this position is completing data entry tasks.

This is not a remote position and is designated as in-office.

Duties Include:

· Processing payables on a daily basis.

· Processing past due notices to customers.

· Reconciling monthly credit card and bank statements.

· Reconciling monthly UPS & FedEx statements and certified mail transactions and posting charges.

· Process invoices and payments.

· Posting bookkeeping documents to the appropriate location within the company’s software.

· Data entry to document bookkeeping transactions.

· Distributing mail for the Accounting/HR/Legal Depts.

· Assist in scanning checks and posting the required documentation.

· Assist in posting cash deposits.

· Assist in processing payments.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of working in a professional/office environment.

  • High School Diploma.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • Ability to type 30 correct wpm.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Acrobat, and Outlook required. Sage 50 / 100 preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
  • Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency while managing time and remaining accurate and organized.
  • Positive attitude and excellent work ethic.

This job is a clerical position that involves the following qualifications and essential functions; therefore, you must be able to:

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, data entry, 10 Key.
  • Occasional lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Dress is casual office attire.
