Accounting Clerk (AP-Focused)
Location: La Mirada, CA
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am or 8 AM start time
Assignment Length: 1-2 Month Contract
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a strong Accounts Payable background to support our accounting team on a short-term project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly step in to assist with high-volume AP functions.
Responsibilities:
Process and enter high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely
Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
Review invoices for proper coding and approvals
Assist with weekly check runs and ACH payment processing
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items
Maintain organized AP files and supporting documentation
Assist with account reconciliations and data entry projects
Support month-end close activities as needed
Provide general administrative support to the accounting department
Qualifications:
2+ years of Accounts Payable or Accounting Clerk experience
Strong understanding of AP processes and invoice processing
Experience handling high-volume transactions preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
ERP system experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
