Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Day Shift: 8 AM-5 PM | Schedule: Monday-Friday

As an Accounting Assistant in Shreveport, you'll provide support in a fast-paced call center accounting environment focused on customer billing, payments, and account resolution. This job is ideal if you have strong 10-key skills, AR (Accounts Receivable) experience, and thrive in data-driven, customer-facing finance support roles.

Accounting Assistant Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required.
• Strong proficiency in 10-key data entry (required for efficiency and accuracy).
• Prior experience handling customer payments and billing inquiries.
• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Accounting Assistant Job Duties:

• Process and record customer payments accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to billing inquiries and resolve customer account questions.
• Generate and issue customer invoices and credits as needed.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and documentation.
• Enter financial data using strong 10-key data entry skills.
• Support reconciliation of customer accounts and payment discrepancies.
• Assist with maintaining organized and up-to-date billing records.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing status and payment issues.
• Work within a call center environment, handling financial support requests.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all accounting-related transactions.
