Position Overview

We are hiring an Accounting Assistant to join our cross-functional accounting team. This role involves data entry, reconciliation, vendor and customer communication, and administrative tasks to ensure accurate and efficient transactions for all seven locations. Successful candidates excel in a collaborative work environment, demonstrate strong analytical skills, manage high-volume workloads efficiently and adapt easily to shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input data into inventory management system and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Reconcile purchase orders, work orders, credit memos and/or receivers against internal records for accuracy.
  • Review reports and investigate missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors and sales team to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed, including sorting and distributing mail, alphabetizing and filing.
  • Participate in the reception team rotation, directing inbound calls.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or certificate in accounting, finance or business (or equivalent experience/training)
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting responsibilities
  • Effective communication skills to interact with vendors, customers, and team members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
