Job Title: Accounting and Office Assistant — Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $24/hr - $26/hr DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week. Day shift, start time is flexible

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting and Office Assistant to support a busy construction office in a temporary assignment expected to last around 3 months. This role is ideal for someone with prior construction office experience who is comfortable handling accounting support, certified payroll tasks, reporting, and general administrative duties in a fast-paced environment.

If you have experience with accounts payable, payroll processing, and construction-related office operations, this could be a great opportunity to step into a hands-on support role with a well-established company.

What You'll Do:
As an Accounting and Office Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Process accounts payable invoices and assist with payment tracking
  • Complete and maintain certified payroll documentation
  • Prepare and assist with PUC mileage reporting
  • Perform data entry with accuracy and attention to detail
  • File paperwork and maintain organized office records
  • Answer phones and assist with front desk/reception duties
  • Support office staff with other general office and administrative tasks
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision 
  • Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (Viewpoint preferred)
  • Familiarity with certified payroll is preferred 
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized
