Property Accountant | Temp-to-hire
Location: Tualatin, OR Salary: $27-$29/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing real estate portfolio in the Tualatin area. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and ensuring accuracy across multiple entities and properties. Candidates without direct property accounting experience will be considered if they bring strong multi-entity accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned properties and/or entities
Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports, and supporting schedules
Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts across multiple entities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Track and record rent payments, tenant activity, and property-level expenses
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Support month-end and year-end close procedures
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Partner with property managers and internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies
Requirements
2+ years of accounting experience; property accounting experience is a plus but not required
Must have experience handling multi-entity or multi-company accounting
Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
Experience with accounting software (Yardi, AppFolio, or similar is a plus, not required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple sets of books and deadlines simultaneously
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
