Description, responsibilities & requirements
 
Main Responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of Compiled Financial Statements with/without footnotes
  • Annual set-up and maintenance of accounting books
  • Classification of transactions
  • Trial balance, closing, and end of period adjustments
  • Supervise the preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Supervise the maintenance of fixed asset depreciation schedules
  • Maintenance of prepaid and accrual schedules
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
  • Write-up work and tax preparation with the assistance of tax accountants
  • Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
  • Reports organization’s finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Preparation of sales and property tax returns
  • Supervision of staff accountants
  • Review work prepared by staff accountants
 
Job Requirements
  • B.A./B.S. in accounting or finance
  • CPA, candidate for CPA (preferable)
  • Has worked recently with Accrual Basis of Accounting
  • 3 to 5 years in similar capacity in a CPA firm environment
  • Detailed oriented
  • Uses good judgment
  • Good Communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills including QuickBooks, Intacct, Excel & Word
  • Organized/Good Time Management skills
  • Uses appropriate discretion – handling sensitive confidential information
  • All Candidates will be tested on his/her Accounting knowledge
