Role Description We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a professionalwith 2+ years of public accounting experience who is ready to move into a high-growth tech environment. You willplay a critical role in building scalable accounting processes, ensuring GAAP and tax compliance, and providing thefinancial clarity needed to support our rapid growth. Job Responsibilities: Financial Close and Reporting: Manage the full-cycle monthly and quarterly close process, includingpreparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance (flux) analysis. Operational Accounting: Oversee daily operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashmanagement, expense reporting, and payroll processing. Compliance and Tax: Support various tax filings including sales and use tax, property tax, unclaimedproperty, and payroll tax. Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to modernize the finance function using AI-enabled tools and cloud-based software to automate manual procedures. Process Documentation: Create and maintain detailed standard operating procedures (SOP), processflowcharts, and Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs) for core cycles. Audit Readiness: Lead the preparation of audit schedules for external auditors to ensure a clean andefficient year-end audit. Other Projects: Support various ad hoc projects as needed. Qualification and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of professional accounting experience, with a background in Big 4 public accounting preferred. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles. Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proactive attitude with a commitment to accuracy and a high level of attention to detail. Strong problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
