Staff Accountant Oklahoma City, OK Position Summary Our client is hiring for a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while supporting day-to-day accounting operations. Company is actively growing, so this position is an active path for advancement for a junior level accountant looking to expand their skillset!Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassificationsPerform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesMaintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentationReconcile bank accounts and other cash-related accountsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as neededAssist with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and disposalsHelp prepare financial statements and internal management reportsSupport audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requestsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policiesIdentify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracyQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required1–3 years of accounting experience preferredSolid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accountingExperience with QuickBooksProficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentCompensation: $60k - $70k depending on education and experience.
