We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who has supported accounting operations within a manufacturing company and understands the financial rhythms of production, inventory, and cost-based accounting.

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver reliable financial data that supports day-to-day operations and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Maintain general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and support AP/AR processes
  • Complete bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and account analysis
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures
  • Assist with inventory accounting, including WIP, cost of goods sold, and production-related expenses
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review
  • Use accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help mentor junior accounting staff as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Accounting experience within a manufacturing company is required (cost accounting, inventory, or production-related finance experience)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and general ledger accounting
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, or standard costing
  • Exposure to SOX compliance and audit support
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting in a manufacturing setting
