JOB SUMMARYUnder the general direction of the Accounting Manager, performs advanced professional governmental accounting and supervisory work serving as the City’s Lead Grants Accountant. Responsible for administering the City's federal, state, and local grant programs including grant accounting, financial reporting, reimbursement requests, compliance monitoring, Single Audit coordination, Schedule of Expenditures of Federal and State Awards (SEFSA) preparation. Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), and applicable grantor requirements. Supervises assigned grant accounting staff, provides technical accounting guidance to City departments, and serves as the City's subject matter expert for grant accounting and compliance throughout the grant lifecycle from award through closeout.
