Accountant
Join the Animal Nutrition accounting team as a Cost Accountant and take ownership of cost accounting activities across a diverse network of operational locations and partners. In this high-impact role, you will lead complex daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes-including journal entries, reconciliations, cost analysis, and inventory resolution-while serving as a key resource for cross-functional partners.
This role is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Arden Hills, MN (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office each week)
What You'll Do
- Work with key partners on product cost set-up, work order completions, sales and receiving corrections, freight issues, and cycle count reconciliation
- Evaluate, analyze, and resolve product costing to provide accurate reporting.
- Update standard costing to new calculated weighted average cost based on weekly activity, and review and analyze costing variances.
- Evaluate and correct general ledger activity and balances to ensure accurate gross margin reporting.
- Analyze and explain COGS variances month over month
- Execute month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1-2 years' experience in accounting, ideally cost accounting highly desired
- Proficient with ERP accounting applications (JDE or SAP preferred) and Microsoft products. Advanced excel required.

$61,360-$92,040. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
