Job Title: Accountant
Job Type: Contract, with potential for direct-hire
Job Length: 6 months to 1 yr. contract
Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA, 100% on-site
Work Schedule: 30 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $34-$36/hr.

Must-Have:
  • 3+ years of General Accounting experience
  • Accounts Payable (preferred) OR Accounts Receivable experience

Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with Bill.com, Divvy, Veracross, and/or Xero Cloud software
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Job Details

Our client is seeking a proactive and self-sufficient Accountant to join our finance team. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, journal entries, reconciliations, prepaids, fixed assets, and month-end activities. This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with leadership, help improve accounting processes, and play a key role in supporting the organization's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable and daily accounting transactions.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and support the month-end close process.
  • Maintain prepaids, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with financial reporting and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Help improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with leadership on day-to-day financial operations.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Must-Have:
  • 3+ years of General Accounting experience
  • Accounts Payable (preferred) OR Accounts Receivable experience

Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with Bill.com, Divvy, Veracross, and/or Xero Cloud software
