    Description

    HilltopSecurities is looking to hire an Account Services Specialist. The Account Services Specialist for Government Investment Pool Division provides support to cities, school districts, counties and other government entity participants. Primary responsibility is to assist prospective entities with the enrollment and onboarding process and current participants with any new account or account maintenance requests as well as any other account inquiries.

    • Background in banking with 3-5 years' experience particularly in new accounts and customer service.
    • Accurate and timely data entry skills are a must and attention to detail is critical.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks in a timely manner in a high paced environment
    • Computer skills required include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

    • Process account paperwork for new and existing participants for local government investment pools.
    • Work with clients to set up new accounts, update changes to bank wiring and ACH information, make changes to authorized account representatives as well as address any miscellaneous change.
    • Detailed data entry of account information to department's database and mainframe systems
    • Assist participants with research requests and providing account reports as needed.
    • Work closely with online system security personnel to add, delete or modify user access, reset online credentials and assist in periodic user reviews.
    • Assist the Funds Transfer Representative in answering participant phone, email, fax and online inquiries.
    • Perform prescreening of participant and prospective participant investment policies and prepare certification letters for supervisory review as well as completion of client audit confirmations.
