The Account Manager role serves as a key contact for carriers, supporting daily freight operations and maintaining strong relationships.
- Maintain customer profiles and input shipments into McLeod software.
- Solicit freight quotes for Spot and Contract markets.
- Manage carrier data, negotiate freight contracts, and schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate regularly with carriers and customers to ensure smooth freight movement.
- Coordinate carrier activities with customers and the operations team, adhering to procedures.
- Update and track shipments in company systems and seek process improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years' experience in logistics and freight operations.
- Preferred experience with McLeod software, strong communication, organization, and Excel skills.
- Knowledge of port and drayage operations is a plus.
