Position Salary: $45K-$95K Base (Depending on Experience) + Commission
Position Location: The role location is open; however the client prefers someone in a metro area with easy access to an airport. Ideal candidate would be in the mid-Atlantic or out west, AZ, NV, NM, etc.

Our client, a leading nationwide specialized equipment rental company, is seeking a high-performance Account Manager with a strong drive for prospecting and capturing new clients. The ideal candidate is excellence-driven, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Our client is a specialized equipment supplier providing trucks, trailers, and additional support equipment to large-scale projects across the United States. This Account Manager role offers significant growth opportunities for a candidate who possesses a strong “hunter” mindset. The position requires frequent daily and overnight travel to various project sites throughout the United States.
Essential Functions
- Hunter & prospecting mentality, developing specific prospects into clients.
- Desire to build a book of business from the ground up, not simply make calls to check boxes.
- Identify & pursue new rental opportunities across various industries throughout the United States.
- Provide product application support for clients when required.
- Resolve client issues and concerns.
- Use company systems and tools such as Procede and Nutshell (CRM), to effectively document, track, and manage client activities.
- Apply excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear and effective support and collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Deliver world class client experience via phone, email and/or in person contacts.
- Provide outstanding after-hours client service (24/7 for emergency support as needed).
- Required Education and Experience:
- Clean driving record, criminal record and drug test.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
- College degree preferred, professional experience substituted.
- Customer first, detail-oriented focus.
- Experience in rental and/or sales of heavy equipment and/or vehicles.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-high-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills (IE Procede and Microsoft Office Suite) are crucial for daily tasks.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Primarily a field role with limited office time (open to remote positions for the right candidate).
- Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.
Work Environment
- Dynamic work environment includes project sites, office buildings, and laydown yards.
- Majority of time spent outside on active project sites and around mobile equipment in heat, cold, wind, rain and other environmental conditions.
- Some sites may require specific PPE and site training (covered at the company expense).
Travel Required
- Daily travel with overnight stays expected.
- Minimum of 10 nights per month on the road.
- Company provided vehicle, cellular phone, and credit card (vehicle allowance available company vehicle).
