Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a similar role.
  • Experience leading and facilitating complex partnership agreements, including experience with negotiation, structuring, and implementation.
  • Experience in online media buying and selling processes, and knowledge of demand-side platforms, sell-side platforms and Ad exchanges, with a problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent problem-solving and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess partnership opportunities and develop business cases.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders at all levels.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

As the Account Manager, you will be a key, high-visibility player in a strategic entrepreneurial business at Google. You will become an expert in the new and dynamic world of exchanges, real-time bidding, Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs) and Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs).

Using your programmatic advertising expertise, collaboration and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You will work with some of the most technically advanced digital leaders across the USA, so you will need to build and maintain very close relationships with top partners as well as internal stakeholders. You will be customer-centric, technically oriented, proactive, creative, analytical and highly motivated.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$161,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge of the Google suite of solutions (e.g., authorized buyers, open bidding, Ad manager).
  • Advocate for programmatic buying both internally and externally.
  • Monitor and become an expert on the participant landscape.
  • Maintain deep relationships with client base and manage on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven sales analysis and recommendations that align with client goals and quantify opportunities with clear recommendations to pitch to clients.
