Position PurposeWe are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Convenience Channel Sales Account Manager to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and growth within the convenience channel, managing key accounts, executing strategic sales plans, and building strong relationships with retailers and distributors. You will act as the primary point of contact for accounts within the convenience channel, ensuring product placement, competitive positioning, and effective category management and merchandising. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales within the C&G (Convenience and Gas) sector and a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Management: Develop and manage relationships with key accounts in the convenience channel, including convenience stores, travel centers, truck stops, and wholesalers. Identify customer needs and tailor solutions that drive sales and profitability.Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies for the convenience channel to increase revenue, expand market share, and achieve sales targets. Identify opportunities for growth and work proactively to maximize performance within the channel.New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the convenience channel, leveraging industry knowledge and competitor insights.Product Promotion & Merchandise: Ensure the proper placement of products within retail locations, working with category managers and buyers to ensure effective product performance, promotions, and in-store activations.Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any issues, inquiries, or concerns. Proactively communicate with internal and external resources to resolve problems quickly and efficiently to maintain positive relationships.Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity. Utilize data to forecast sales, plan promotional efforts, and adjust strategies as needed.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of sales plans, promotions, and product distribution. Work with any external rep agencies to achieve channel and customer goals.Market Insights & Trends: Stay up to date on the latest industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
