Job Details

The Account Manager serves as the primary client contact for new prospects and existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, service quality, contract profitability, and business growth. You’ll sell and manage a mix of planned maintenance agreements, quoted repairs, and support larger replacement or improvement projects. The role involves developing new client relationships in assigned markets, qualifying and estimating opportunities, coordinating with sales, operations, and field teams, managing vendor and contract processes, maintaining CRM records, and representing the company at industry events and trainings.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and pursue new client relationships and qualify bid opportunities within assigned verticals and territories.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and proposals; obtain and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage service agreements, repairs, work orders, billing coordination, and timely invoice collection through the account lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and field leadership to schedule and execute work, including job walks and site visits.
  • Maintain accurate account activity, WIP, and deliverable records in the CRM and related systems.
  • Generate leads for retrofit/modernization projects and drive sales toward PMA, quoted repairs, and small project goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent related experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the building trades (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC) with strong technical knowledge of systems, ductwork, piping, refrigeration, and energy-efficiency solutions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, and familiarity with CRM, estimating, and WIP tools (e.g., Smartsheet or similar).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills; ability to prepare clear proposals and documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented, decisive, and skilled at conflict resolution and vendor/subcontractor negotiations.
