Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 / year
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a relationship-focused Account Manager to strengthen client relationships, support repeat business, and help develop new opportunities throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth commercial construction market.
This role is ideal for an early-career account management, sales, or business development professional who enjoys connecting with people, following through, and building long-term relationships.
The Account Manager will work closely with leadership, estimating, operations, and project management to maintain client communication, coordinate follow-up, support proposals, and help turn relationships into future project opportunities.
Commercial construction experience is helpful but not required. The right candidate will be professional, organized, coachable, and interested in growing within the construction industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with current, former, and prospective clients.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact and ensure timely communication and follow-up.
- Learn client needs, priorities, and upcoming project plans.
- Support client retention, repeat business, referrals, and account growth.
- Identify and develop new client relationships throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
- Conduct outreach through referrals, networking, email, phone, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, association meetings, and other industry functions.
- Research prospective clients, developments, projects, and market opportunities.
- Assist with proposals, presentations, qualification packages, and client materials.
- Coordinate with estimating, operations, project management, and leadership during the pursuit process.
- Maintain accurate client, prospect, opportunity, and follow-up information in the company’s CRM.
- Track meetings, proposals, opportunities, and next steps.
- Support the transition of awarded projects to the project management and operations teams.
- Represent the Company professionally in client-facing and industry settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company growth.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in account management, sales, business development, customer success, recruiting, or another client-facing role.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong organization, follow-up, and time-management skills.
- Confidence initiating conversations and communicating with business professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, prospects, and priorities.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, email, LinkedIn, and other sales tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
- Willingness to attend local client meetings and industry events.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
- Coachable, dependable, and interested in building a career in commercial construction.
Work Environment and Schedule
Work may take place in the office, at client locations, in project-related environments, and at networking or industry events.
Local travel is required. The employee must be able to sit, stand, present, and communicate for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
