The Account Manager is responsible for the overall management, administration, performance, and compliance of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Security Guard Services - Non-Nuclear Contract. This position serves as the Contractor's designated representative with full authority to act on behalf of the company regarding all contract matters and operational requirements.

The Account Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight of security operations across multiple TVA facilities located throughout Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky. The position is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, workforce management, quality assurance, customer satisfaction, staffing continuity, financial accountability, and operational excellence.

The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between TVA leadership, the Contract Technical Supervisor (CTS), Contractor management, and field operations personnel to ensure consistent execution of all contractual obligations.

This position is dedicated exclusively to the TVA Security Guard Services Contract and may not perform duties for any other company contracts.

Position is contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities

Contract Management and Leadership.

  • Serve as the Contractor's authorized representative with full authority to act on behalf of the company throughout the duration of the contract.

  • Accept notices of deductions, inspection reports, corrective actions, and official correspondence on behalf of the Contractor.

  • Provide leadership and direction for all contract operations and security personnel.

  • Ensure all contractual obligations, performance standards, and operational requirements are achieved.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with TVA representatives and stakeholders.

  • Security Operations Oversight.

  • Provide management oversight for security services.

  • Security guard staffing and workforce deployment.

  • Facility access control operations.

  • Visitor management and credential verification.

  • Patrol operations and perimeter security.

  • Incident response and emergency support activities.

  • Security reporting and documentation.

Training and qualification compliance.

  • Workforce scheduling and staffing coverage.

  • Performance management and operational accountability.

  • The Account Manager shall ensure consistent implementation of security services at TVA facilities including offices, dams, substations, warehouses, administrative buildings, and other critical infrastructure locations.

Quality Assurance and Compliance.

  • Implement and oversee the Contractor's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs.

  • Monitor workforce compliance with contract requirements, TVA policies, General Orders, Post Orders, and operating procedures.

  • Ensure consistent application of security standards across all assigned locations.

  • Conduct operational reviews and compliance assessments.

  • Monitor corrective actions and ensure deficiencies are resolved promptly.

  • Support audits, inspections, and performance evaluations conducted by TVA.

Staffing and Resource Management.

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained to support all contract requirements.

  • Coordinate staffing resources to address vacancies, variable coverage, extraordinary coverage requirements, and special projects.

  • Manage workforce scheduling and staffing strategies.

  • Oversee recruitment, retention, onboarding, and workforce development initiatives.

  • Coordinate support functions necessary to maintain uninterrupted operations.

  • Incident Management and Investigations.

  • Ensure timely and accurate investigations of security incidents.

  • Review incident reports and determine appropriate corrective actions.

  • Coordinate responses to significant security events, emergencies, and operational disruptions.

  • Provide executive-level oversight during critical incidents.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all security-related events.

Reporting and Documentation.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of:

  • Security incidents

  • Safety occurrences

  • Unfilled hours

  • Extraordinary staffing requests

  • Contract performance metrics

  • Quality assurance findings

  • Compliance activities

  • Operational deficiencies and corrective actions

  • Prepare executive summaries and management reports for significant incidents involving:

  • Security breaches

  • Security vulnerabilities

  • Safety-related events

  • Operational disruptions

  • Matters identified by TVA leadership or Contractor management

Client Relationship Management.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Contractor and TVA.

  • Maintain regular communication with the Contract Technical Supervisor (CTS).

  • Participate in meetings, reviews, inspections, and operational planning discussions.

  • Address performance concerns, contract issues, and operational challenges in a timely manner.

  • Foster a collaborative partnership focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Policy and Program Administration.

  • Work in conjunction with the CTS regarding updates, maintenance, and distribution of:

  • TVA General Orders.

  • Site-Specific Post Orders.

  • TVA Supervisor's Manual.

  • TVA Contractor Guidance Manuals.

Security operating procedures.

  • Ensure policy updates are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the workforce.

  • Promote consistent understanding and application of all TVA requirements.

  • Availability and Emergency Response.

  • Remain available by telephone or in person to address operational concerns and contract deficiencies.

  • Maintain availability during normal business hours and after-hours as required.

  • Respond to critical operational matters within established contract timelines.

  • Designate qualified authority when unavailable and ensure appropriate notification to TVA representatives and Contractor leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of specialized experience in:

  • Contract management.

  • Security operations management.

  • Program development and implementation.

  • Workforce leadership and administration.

  • Resource allocation and budget oversight.

  • Multi-site operational management

  • Demonstrated experience managing.

  • Complex contracts or subcontracts.

  • Large-scale security operations.

  • Multiple simultaneous projects or workstreams.

  • Financial resources and operational budgets.

  • Workforce performance and compliance programs.

  • Experience managing projects from development and planning through deployment and execution.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Security Management, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field preferred.

  • OR

  • Significant and verifiable law enforcement, military, security management, or business management experience demonstrating the ability to successfully manage a contract of similar scope, size, complexity, and operational requirements.

  • Extensive knowledge of security operations, contract administration, and workforce management.

  • Ability to manage complex reporting systems and performance metrics.

  • Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and management reporting systems.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities.

Travel Requirements

  • Extensive travel throughout Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky is required.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

  • A company-owned, leased, or assigned vehicle will be provided for business travel.

  • Travel may include visits to TVA offices, dams, substations, warehouses, administrative facilities, and other critical infrastructure locations.

  • Overnight travel may be required based on operational needs.
