Account Executive - Employer Solutions

Territory: Triad region (Greensboro-based is ideal)
Schedule: Full-time | Standard business hours
Travel: Frequent local travel throughout the Triad region required. Approximately 30%–50% field-based work supporting client meetings, outreach, networking events, and community engagement.

At Novant Health, our Employer Solutions team partners with organizations across the region to deliver innovative healthcare solutions that support healthier employees and stronger businesses. As an Account Executive, you’ll serve as the primary relationship builder and growth driver for employer-based healthcare partnerships throughout the Triad market.

This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who thrives on building new relationships, navigating complex conversations, and driving strategic healthcare solutions from initial outreach through contract execution. You’ll represent Novant Health in the community, connect with business leaders, and help employers identify healthcare services that support their workforce needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and grow employer partnerships throughout the Triad region
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for prospective employer accounts
  • Drive business development efforts through outreach, networking, and community engagement
  • Build relationships with executive leaders, HR teams, and key decision-makers across organizations
  • Identify opportunities to expand healthcare benefit offerings and employer health solutions
  • Manage the full relationship cycle from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and contract execution
  • Collaborate with internal operational and clinical teams to support implementation planning and service alignment
  • Represent Novant Health Employer Solutions at community events, employer meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Support growth initiatives with both new prospects and existing occupational health clients
  • Maintain and grow accounts until transition readiness, partnering closely with Client Success during handoff
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed healthcare environment with multiple stakeholders and timelines

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, or healthcare-related account management preferred
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders
  • Self-motivated professional comfortable developing an underdeveloped territory
  • Passion for delivering solutions that positively impact patients, employees, and communities
  • Experience in healthcare, employer health, occupational medicine, benefits consulting, or related industries preferred 
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
  • Experience: 3 years, preferred. Minimum two years sales/relationship management experience.
  • Additional skills required:
    • Strong negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations.
    • Must excel at relationship management
    • Ability to meet and exceed sales goals and BRE goals
    • Ability to maintain current book of business as a relationship manager with the goal to cross sell services.
    • Must excel at new client acquisition.
    • Responsible for understanding employer services book of business along with NH services that are applicable to employers.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
    • Must document all contacts and sales calls into CRM.
