Account Executive - Field Sales Salary Range: $100k to $120k
Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Sales Representative to own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through close. This role is responsible for developing new business, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through solution-based selling and recurring service contracts.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable building a pipeline from scratch in a technical or solution-oriented sales environment. You will work closely with technical teams, including Solutions Architects and Operations, to deliver tailored customer solutions and ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Pipeline Development
Own the full sales cycle from lead qualification through close
Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned to ideal customer profiles (ICP) through outbound prospecting (email, phone, events, networking, referrals)
Identify and qualify prospects based on need, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority
Lead evaluation of RFP opportunities and manage responses for qualified bids
Customer Relationship Management
Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships for upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Interface with customers, partners, and manufacturers to strengthen deal flow and trust
Ensure smooth handoff of new customers to operations and delivery teams
Technical & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Solutions Architects to deliver customer presentations and demonstrations
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to support execution and billing processes
Gather and share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights with internal teams
CRM & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (HubSpot or similar)
Track pipeline activity, forecasting, and sales performance metrics
Provide regular updates on pipeline health and market trends
Revenue & Performance Ownership
Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas and margin targets
Drive timely deal closure and support invoicing acceleration efforts
Ensure disciplined pipeline management and sales process adherence
Required Qualifications
8+ years of B2B sales or solution sales experience
Experience using a CRM system (HubSpot preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles independently
High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to learn technical solutions quickly and communicate value effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, or engineered solutions sales
Experience working with RFP processes and enterprise customers
Familiarity with channel sales, manufacturers, or partner ecosystems
Experience attending or representing organizations at trade shows and industry events
