Urgent Hiring: Account Clerk
Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site)
Pay Rate: $21/hour on 1099
Contract: 14 Months
We are seeking an experienced Account Clerk to support financial recordkeeping, accounts payable, bookkeeping, budget assistance, procurement, and financial reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions
* Process accounts payable, invoices, vouchers, and payments
* Assist with bookkeeping, recordkeeping, and financial reconciliations
* Support budget preparation and budget control activities
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Assist with procurement, purchasing, and contract-related activities
* Audit financial transactions and maintain compliance with established procedures
* Communicate with vendors, internal departments, and external stakeholders
* Maintain confidentiality while handling financial information
Required Qualifications:
* 5+ years of bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping experience
* 5+ years of Accounts Payable and voucher processing experience
* Experience with budget preparation and budget control
* Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Procurement and contract administration knowledge
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Eligible to be bonded
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
* Experience using auditing systems
* Government or public-sector accounting experience is a plus
