Job Summary

DSI is growing—again!
We are currently hiring a Security Specialist to support a large, multi-building research and pharmaceutical campus in Princeton, NJ.

This position requires individuals who are alert, professional, and capable of making sound decisions in real time. While security experience is valued, success in this role depends heavily on customer service skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability.

  • First Shift
  • Second Shift
  • Weekend Shift

Position Overview
  • Primary responsibility includes access control and visitor management at a guard station
  • Conduct scheduled patrols of a large campus environment
  • Monitor activity and respond appropriately to incidents or irregularities
  • Must be comfortable transitioning between a stationary post and active patrol duties
 
Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment through active monitoring and visible presence
  • Manage visitor check-in/check-out systems with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Observe, assess, and respond to incidents using sound judgment
  • Complete reports and documentation clearly and accurately
  • Provide professional, customer-focused interaction with employees, tenants, and visitors
  • Follow all DSI and client-specific policies and procedures
 
What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
  • Strong customer service or client-facing experience
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve in real time
  • Computer proficiency, including comfort navigating systems and databases
  • High level of reliability, accountability, and professionalism
  • Ability to remain engaged and attentive throughout the shift
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active SORA License required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (C•CURE experience a plus)
  • Ability to conduct foot patrols and work in various weather conditions
  • Must pass all pre-employment screenings
Note:
Candidates should be able to reliably commute to the site.

  • This is a hands-on, active security role
  • Officers are expected to remain engaged, observant, and responsive throughout their shift
  • This position requires dependability and consistent attendance
Compensation & Benefits
  • $22.50/hour
