Job Description:

Provide support for SPED students and students receiving Tier 3 interventions, as well as assist with student and family engagement efforts. This individual will support teachers and students through a push-in and pull-out model by working with small groups of students on targeted academic needs.

Additional responsibilities will include supporting the Lunch and Learn initiative, assisting with small-group testing, and providing support for other academic needs. This position will also work alongside guidance and administration to help address attendance concerns by meeting with students, communicating with parents regarding attendance documentation, and assisting with scheduling meetings related to attendance concerns.

The academic and attendance support connected to this position align with documented needs and targeted goals within the School Renewal Plan. This individual will also assist administration with Title I responsibilities, including Crate needs, and will support the planning and implementation of student and family engagement opportunities such as field trips, family nights, and other related events.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of study (60 semester hours) at an accredited institution of higher education; or
• An associate's degree (or higher); or
• An approved state or local academic assessment that measures the paraprofessional's knowledge of and ability to assist in instruction at the appropriate level. Paraprofessionals may meet the assessment requirement by passing the ParaPro Assessment (ETS.org). The minimum passing score on this test is 456.

$20,869 - $36,281
