Job Summary/Basic Functions

Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Office of Student Affairs and the guidance of the Assistant Dean for Student Services, the Academic and Student Affairs Advisor is responsible for assisting with the management of the Office of Student Affairs at the School of Nursing''s Off Campus Instructional Site: Baton Rouge ("OCIS-BR"). This position is responsible for preparation, origination and maintenance of student records in the School of Nursing OCIS-BR. This position requires the incumbent to provide coordination of day-to-day office activities; maintains an information management system (and update accordingly to work processes and changes in programs, policies & procedures), and student curriculum and progression advising that allows faculty and staff to have easy access to pertinent information regarding student data, procedures, forms, and reports; and maintenance of student databases.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor''s

Required Field of Study: Business/Education/Admission or related field

Number of years required to perform the job: Five

Type of experience required to perform the job: Professional work experience in business or education.

Preferred Experience: Experience including: advising, student recruitment/retention, related student services, or any equivalent combination of similar experience.
