This position provides technical and data management support for Academic Career Tracking and assists with processing of graduate degree audits, academic milestones, degree evaluation, and degree certification. The position works with the Assistant Director of Academic Career Tracking to interact with and train campus personnel to identify issues and potential resolutions for degree audits, evaluation, and certification. The incumbent is also responsible for processing petitions and maintaining graduate student records and degree program records. Position will participate in testing and deployment of automated systems and use other tools to improve quality and productivity of academic career tracking.

Job Description:

DATA MANAGEMENT FOR ACADEMIC CAREER TRACKING 
Works with Graduate School IT staff and UFIT staff to maintain, adapt and adopt systems to support academic career tracking including graduate audits, milestones, supervisory committees, transfer credits, and degree evaluation and certification. Maintains and documents configuration within UF systems (e.g., SIS, GIMS, Salesforce) relating to graduate education, including student records and degree audits s. Collaborates with Curriculum and Programs staff to update degree information and attributes in appropriate systems after academic approval.

ACADEMIC CAREER TRACKING
Participates directly in degree evaluations and degree certification, identifying and resolving any discrepancies related to graduate degree audits. May assist with related petitions. 

SERVICE TO UNIT ACADEMIC STAFF, GRADUATE COORDINATORS, AND GRADUATE FACULTY 
Answers questions, resolves issues, and offers guidance on questions related to   degree audits, student records, and degree evaluation and certification.

Develops and provides training for academic staff, Graduate Coordinators and faculty as related to Graduate Council policies, processes and systems required to support graduate student success. 

Works with the Registrar’s Office, other administrative units, faculty, and staff, on a regular basis to carry out policy consistent with the Graduate Catalog, Graduate Council, and University of Florida regulations.

As assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, and Deans.

Expected Salary:

$46,000 - $52,000

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

Two years of work-related experience in academic programs. A thorough understanding of the requirements, evaluation, and implementation of information systems. Familiarity with current university platforms (i.e., Student Information Systems – Campus Solutions) and query building. Ability to work well with end-users and system administrators. Ability to work as a team member and to work independently on projects.
