The Kinesiology Department has over 30 full‐time faculty in the sub-disciplines of Human Movement Science, Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, Sport & Exercise Psychology, Pedagogical Kinesiology, Sport Studies, and Sports Medicine. Kinesiology faculty have a history of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service; the National Academy of Kinesiology ranked UNCG highly in recent (2019, 2023) NAK national rankings of doctoral programs in kinesiology. The department has state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and access to extensive classroom space. Kinesiology is the 5th largest department at UNCG, serving approximately 600 undergraduates and 200 graduate students. The Human Health Sciences Program at UNC Greensboro is explicitly interdisciplinary, drawing from a range of disciplines related to allied health fields, with a focus on Interprofessional Education. This degree provides students with a flexible, non-clinical curriculum designed to offer a broad overview of health and health care, preparing them for both direct entrance into health-related careers or for graduate training in health professions. The HHSci program is the newest degree offering in the School of Health and Human Sciences, debuting in 2024, and currently serving over 350 undergraduate students. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about working with interdisciplinary colleagues to prepare tomorrow's health professionals with exemplary education.
The Kinesiology Department and Human Health Science Program are two of ten departments or programs in the School of Health and Human Sciences at UNCG. The School offers support offices for both research and instructional technology.
