They assist with course selection, petitions, overrides, and appeals, while serving as a resource for new, transfer, and prospective students.
Responsibilities include providing accurate advisement, counseling on academic challenges, collaborating with academic departments, referring students to campus resources, and participating in orientations and recruitment events.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in computer systems and the ability to work with diverse student populations while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience; three to five years of university advising experience is preferred.
