Job Summary
The Program in Exploratory Studies (PES) group at the University of Colorado, Boulder is seeking applications for an Academic Advisor! This position is part of a collaborative team of academic advisors and coaches in PES, and is responsible for building relationships with students and fostering success by providing multidisciplinary academic and developmental advising for exploratory undergraduates with interests across all colleges and schools. This first-year advising role works with specific student populations to empower and support them in exploration and decision-making toward their choice of a major and an outlay of goals for their collegiate career at CU-Boulder and beyond.
The Academic Advisor will work with following populations:
The Academic Advisor position focuses on exploration, discovery, and supportive connection with students, which requires a specialized knowledge base across many fields as well as a keen understanding of related functional areas. Other important aspects of this role include collaborating closely with individuals and departments across campus, a commitment to professional growth and development, and strong dedication to team collaboration and innovation.

The Program in Exploratory Studies (PES) provides the resources and guidance to help students discover and shape their academic and career journey. PES is designed to help students successfully transfer into their college of choice. We help students who are unsure of what they want to do, decide on a path and help them explore their options. This is a great opportunity for students to have the room to explore majors and find their interests before settling on a major.
