The full-time, 12-month Academic Advisor position in Boone, NC supports first-time, degree-seeking undergraduates in University College.
- Requires a Master's degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field, with experience working with college students and proficiency in advising technology tools.
- Responsibilities include advising a caseload of 350-400 students, monitoring academic progress, especially those on probation, and providing academic planning and support.
- Participates in training, professional development, and university initiatives, serving as a liaison and representing the advising office at events.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and technological skills, with a commitment to ethical and student-centered advising.
- The role involves collaboration, record-keeping, and participation in special projects, with a schedule from 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday.
