Wabash College, a liberal arts college for men, seeks faculty and staff who are committed to providing quality engagement with students, high levels of academic challenge and support, and meaningful experiences that prepare students for life and leadership among diverse populations around the globe. \n \nThe Academic Administrative Coordinator, Fine Arts provides administrative, operational, and event support for the departments of Art, Music, Rhetoric, and Theater within the Fine Arts Center. This position serves faculty, staff, and students across these departments and plays a key role in the daily functioning of the building.\n \nPrimary responsibilities include managing the Wabash College Box Office, coordinating departmental events and public programs, supporting academic and office operations, and supervising student employees. The coordinator also serves as an important point of contact for building operations, communications, and event logistics. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required for fine arts and other special events.\n \nDuties and Responsibilities: \n \nAdministrative Support\n\n Provide administrative support to faculty, adjunct instructors, staff, and students in Art, Music, Rhetoric, and Theater.\n Perform clerical duties such as printing, scanning, meeting minutes, purchasing, and recordkeeping.\n Manage hiring processes through the College's hiring system, including applicant communication and campus visit coordination.\n Maintain confidentiality and support communication among faculty, staff, and students.\n \nEvent and Communications Support\n\n Coordinate departmental events, lectures, seminars, and dinners, including scheduling, room reservations, and catering.\n Create and manage publicity, including announcements, social media coordination, and marketing requests.\n Assist with event logistics and provide backup support for building technology.\n \nStudent and Building Support\n\n Hire, train, schedule, and supervise student office workers.\n Serve as the building contact for phones, mail, deliveries, maintenance, security, keys, office supplies, and equipment service.\n \nBox Office Responsibilities\n\n Manage the Box Office for all public Fine Arts events.\n Serve as the main customer contact for ticketing and event questions.\n Collect and organize event information for calendars and publicity.\n Format and print tickets, posters, and programs.\n Handle reservations, ticket distribution, waitlists, and attendance records.\n Coordinate event details with departments and Visiting Artists Series representatives as needed.\n \nQualifications\n\n High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.\n Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and handle confidential information.\n Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.\n Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools preferred.\n Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.\n \nBenefits That Support You and Your Family\n \nAt Wabash, we believe supporting our employees means investing in their health, families, financial future, and professional growth.
