Seeking an experienced Abrasive Machinist IV - Precision Grinder (2nd Shift) to perform complex grinding operations to tight aerospace tolerances, ensuring high-quality bearing components.
- Independently set up, adjust, and operate OD and ID grinding equipment.
- Select and apply appropriate grinding wheels based on material and finish requirements.
- Perform wheel dressing, form grinding, and complex setups on aerospace parts.
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T to meet strict tolerances and surface standards.
- Troubleshoot surface finish issues and optimize machine parameters.
- Partner cross-functionally to meet quality and delivery goals.
Qualifications include:
- 4+ years of precision grinding experience in aerospace or high-precision settings.
- Strong knowledge of grinding wheels, setups, and GD&T.
- Ability to perform independent setups and work to tight tolerances.
- Preferred experience with form grinding or honing.
Requires dependability, attention to detail, effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols. Physical demands include standing, visual focus, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
