Location: Englewood, CO
Duration: June 29, 2026 – May 15, 2027, Temp to Hire
Pay Rate (Max): $36.39/hr


Job Overview

We are seeking an A&P Mechanic I to support aircraft maintenance operations. In this role, you will assist in the inspection, repair, replacement, and maintenance of key aircraft components while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the repair, replacement, and maintenance of aircraft systems and components
  • Perform inspections and functional checks on mechanical and structural systems
  • Diagnose issues and support testing of faulty or defective components
  • Utilize tools and diagnostic equipment to complete maintenance tasks
  • Ensure all work complies with national and international aviation standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hangar/workshop environment
  • Support maintenance activities across:
    • Airframe systems
    • Powerplant systems
    • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) components

Required Qualifications

  • Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification with no violations
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to pass written, oral, and practical assessments
  • Familiarity with:
    • Technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications
  • Must have:
    • Reliable transportation
    • Personal tools in good working condition
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Ability to pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements (including hearing test)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in FAA repair stations or quality assurance environments
  • Background in aerospace, defense, Department of Defense, or military
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Willingness to travel and work varied shifts, including overtime and weekends
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if required)

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders
  • Repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions requiring dexterity
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Visual acuity including close, distance, depth perception, and color differentiation
  • Ability to hear and distinguish tones and volumes

Work Environment

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and hazardous materials
  • Work in high-noise environments

Safety-Sensitive Role

This position directly impacts the safety of people, equipment, and property and includes responsibilities such as:

  • Inspecting aircraft, equipment, and structures
  • Handling hazardous materials
  • Performing aviation-related duties
  • Operating or supervising heavy or dangerous equipment
