Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level Automotive Technician for one of North Royalton's most respected independent repair facilities.
This opportunity is ideal for a technician who enjoys solving complex vehicle concerns, performing accurate diagnostics, and working in a professional environment where quality workmanship matters. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics on drivability, electrical, engine performance, and intermittent vehicle concerns
- Diagnose root-cause failures using scan data, wiring diagrams, testing equipment, and manufacturer repair procedures
- Repair and service engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Conduct advanced testing including voltage drop, pressure, leak-down, and circuit testing
- Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) using AutoVitals
- Document findings and repair recommendations clearly and accurately
- Maintain productivity in a flat-rate environment while delivering high-quality repairs
- Support and mentor less experienced technicians when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional automotive technician experience
- Expert-level diagnostic and troubleshooting skills involving drivability, electrical systems, intermittent faults, and engine performance concerns
- Ability to accurately interpret scan tool data, wiring diagrams, and technical service information
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Proven ability to identify root-cause failures rather than simply replace parts
- ASE Certifications preferred but not required
- Experience working in a flat-rate environment preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude
