We are seeking an experienced A/B Class Diesel Technician to join a growing team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine issues on heavy-duty trucks and heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service
- Repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and drive line components
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems
- Perform engine diagnostics using electronic diagnostic equipment
- Repair and replace components including fuel systems, cooling systems, and air brake systems
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Communicate repair recommendations with service advisors and management
Requirements
- 3+ years of diesel technician experience preferred (A or B Level)
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, or agricultural equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and drive train components
- Experience using diagnostic software and scan tools preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus but not required)
- Must provide your own basic hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
