Reports to: Food Service Director

Summary: Main duties include setting up for the breakfast line, running a register, preparing/presenting the food for the grill station, dishwashing, and general cleaning. Custodian - 2nd Shift Monday through Friday - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

REPORTS TO: Head Custodian

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform major cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, wet-mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying trash (lifting waste paper and debris - up to 55 lbs.), disinfecting drinking fountains and other building duties as assigned.
  • Clean restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: urinals, toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and counters). Ensure restrooms are clean and disinfected.
  • Wash windows and sills (door glass).
  • Perform ongoing tasks such as replacing light bulbs (climb ladders), filling dispensers, and setting up facilities for student and adult use, cafeteria tables (lifting furniture, boxes - up to of 55 lbs.).
  • Make minor building repairs and promptly report major repairs needed to the Head Custodian.
  • Work overtime and on weekends as necessary to meet District events and facility schedules.
  • Ensure that all doors and windows are appropriately locked.
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
  • Assist in major clean-up in summer such as washing desks and chairs, washing down walls, stripping and waxing floors, etc.
  • Keep grounds free of rubbish and in winter shovel snow as required from steps and sidewalks and apply ice melt when appropriate.
  • All other building duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain regular in-person attendance

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a professional relationship with students, faculty, administration and community patrons.
  • Submit all data and information as requested.
  • Regularly monitor district email for pertinent communication.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled by supervisors and District Administrators.
  • Complete requested paperwork.

Summary

Beagle Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a full-time Resource Room teacher - 8th Grade English Language Arts (ELA). The ideal candidate will provide targeted support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment. This role involves collaborating with general education teachers, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and implementing effective instructional strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement in ELA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students in both the Resource Room and General Education setting, focusing on 8th Grade ELA curriculum (2 hours teaching 8th grade Resource/3 hours teaching 8th grade ELA).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt and modify lesson plans and assessments to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring compliance with legal and educational standards.
  • Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records of student performance and achievements.
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for reading and writing.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students and promote critical thinking skills.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and ELA instruction.
  • Collaborate with support staff, including paraprofessionals and specialists, to provide comprehensive support for students.
  • Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and academic success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification in ELA and Special Education for middle school level.
  • Experience working with middle school students, particularly those with learning disabilities or special needs.
  • Strong knowledge of 8th Grade ELA curriculum and effective instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining student records and IEP documentation.

Description: This is a full-time position in our 7th and 8th Grade school that is divided into two simultaneous roles: Dean of Students to support administration with administrative tasks related to the orderly function of school and Student Success Coordinator to engage in proactive measures to better support students that have been identified as at-risk. Specifically, this position is .5 FTE Dean of Students, .5 FTE Student Success Coordinator.

Duties for .5 FTE Student Success Coordinator:

  • MTSS Team Leader/team-member
  • Focus on attendance, academic, and behavioral interventions utilizing research-based tier 2 and 3 interventions.
  • Coaching support to staff regarding interventions and improving overall outcomes for identified at risk students using evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate small group sessions in a proactive fashion with identified at-risk students to help increase their social, emotional, and behavioral capacity in an effort to increase the amount of time at-risk students remain in programming.
  • Proactive monitoring and counseling of identified at-risk students/families.
  • Anti-bullying and crisis intervention programs as necessary (i.e. groups, individual student follow up post discipline, etc.).
  • Documentation of time on PAR form.
  • Assist with the development, facilitation, and monitoring of 504 plans.
  • Other duties as assigned based on needs of identified at-risk students.

Duties for .5 FTE Dean of Students:

  • Support administration with the supervision of students during arrival in the morning, during school hours, and during dismissal to ensure the safe and orderly function of the learning environment.
  • Support the safety, security, and supervision of the school environment.
  • Support administration with addressing disciplinary issues within the building, which include: working with students regarding behavioral infractions, contacting parents, communicating with teachers, processing referrals, and-as necessary-documenting additional paperwork for formal removals.
  • Facilitate restorative sessions after discipline, and continue to follow up with students 4-6 weeks after discipline in a structured fashion to ensure students remain in programming while having their social, emotional, and behavioral needs met to prevent future issues.
  • Documentation of time on PAR form.
  • Other duties as assigned related to administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong understanding of adolescent school student behavior and needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching and/or administrative certification
  • MTSS background/experience
  • Behavior interventionist experience

Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a caregiver for our Adventure Club at Willow Ridge Elementary for spilt shift. This part-time position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is passionate about fostering a fun and safe environment for exploration and learning. This position is Monday through Friday; 6:30 am until 8:40 am and 3:40 pm until 6:00 pm.
