This job is with Encode, Inc a fully owned subsidiary of Lancesoft Title: Composites Materials & Processes (M&P) Engineer – 2nd Shift Location: Mesa, Arizona (100% Onsite) Type: 12 Months Contract with the possibility of extension.” Schedule: 2nd Shift Overtime: Possible OT up to 20% Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Associate or Experienced Composites Materials & Processes (M&P) Engineer to join a Composite Materials Fabrication Site in Mesa, Arizona. This role is ideal for a hands-on materials and processes engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of lab, factory, and design. The selected candidate will contribute to the development and production of advanced aerospace platforms and support composite fabrication activities while solving manufacturing and materials challenges. . Position Responsibilities Work in a professional environment with multi-disciplinary engineering teams delivering cutting-edge aerospace solutions • Split time between office, laboratory, and production floor environments • Contribute to the development of advanced and proprietary air platforms • Support manufacturing teams by solving complex materials and process challenges • Ensure the efficient production of advanced aerospace products • Identify opportunities for process improvements and manufacturing optimization. Key Responsibilities • Apply chemistry, physics, and material science principles to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods • Provide technical evaluation and materials/process support for composite part fabrication • Perform root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for material and process issues • Develop and execute test plans, document results, and contribute to technical specifications for materials, tools, and processes • Qualify and approve equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes • Guide material testing activities in the Materials & Processes Laboratory • Coordinate with Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement teams • Travel to suppliers when necessary • Support technology integration and standardization across product lines • Manage test and audit programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements • Apply EHS, Lean, and Quality principles in daily work Required Qualifications Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related field, with experience in composites, polymer chemistry, or failure analysis. Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience working with composites, elastomers, and related processing techniques • Hands-on laboratory experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques • Familiarity with materials such as: Epoxy Cyanate Ester Bismaleimide Urethane Polyimide Reinforcements Adhesives • Experience with composite failure modes and failure analysis • Experience creating technical specifications, reports, and test plans • Ability to read engineering drawings • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering team environment EEO Employer LanceSoft is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and an equal opportunity employer.
