Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency and independence in providing safe and effective patient care, applying the nursing process in assessments, interventions, and evaluations. The RN will collaborate with physicians, staff, and management to ensure the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction. This is a full-time position with a shift of 4 days, 10 hours per day (6A-4P).

Responsibilities:

  • Promote positive public relations for the department and hospital by presenting professionally and assisting with community service programs as requested
  • Problem solve patient and family issues, ensuring positive resolutions
  • Communicate effectively with persons of varying ages and cultures, maintaining a positive attitude
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and medical staff
  • Practice the five rights of medication administration
  • Demonstrate efficient time management and teamwork skills
  • Seek assistance and information when needed
  • Support the hospital’s Mission and Philosophy, complying with policies and procedures
  • Act as a patient advocate, respecting confidentiality and cultural/religious beliefs
  • Effectively handle end-of-life decisions (code status)
  • Consistently work assigned shifts and demonstrate accountability for actions and decisions
  • Utilize the chain of command for issue resolution
  • Participate in hospital and departmental quality initiatives and training
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Communicate clearly via phone and other channels; support positive community relations
  • Additional language skills are preferred but not required

Job Requirements:
  • Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Experience: At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • RN License in the state of NM required
    • BLS (AHA) required
    • ACLS (AHA) required
    • CPI highly preferred

Shift: 4 days, 10 hours per day (6A-4P)
